Our utility contractor will continue to close down Glenn Way SW on Wednesday, April 1st for most of the work day in order to safely perform the street restoration related to the utility work that occurred the previous 2 days. Please pay attention for any flagging staff and obey all detour signs that will route you safely around the work that is being done in the street. As always, please watch your speed and stay alert for any pedestrian traffic as these closures can cause confusion for drivers and pedestrians. Please also note that a portion of Glenn Way SW will remain closed 24hrs a day through Friday or Saturday to allow the concrete to cure before opening back up to bus and car traffic. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.

March 6, 2015,

To our neighbors surrounding the project,

We would like to sincerely apologize for the disturbance associated with yesterday's concrete foundation pour and take a little time to explain the circumstances. For our foundations we are required to use a specific structural strength concrete mix. Due to software issues at the concrete mixing facility we were delayed receiving 2 loads of concrete for over an hour each time. Unfortunately we cannot stop pouring the foundation once we start without severe structural integrity issues and not knowing whether or not there can be an engineering fix. These delays in concrete delivery then pushed us into hours without daylight which severely impacts our ability to pour the walls properly and safely, therefore slowing the process by 50% if not more. By no means do we ever intend to work this late and we are thankful for our contractor and their employees who worked tirelessly for 16 hrs to get a job done that should have taken 8-10. Once again, we are extremely sorry for the inconvenience and we do not intend for it to happen again. Barring any emergency situations or major utility work by the City of Seattle, there should be no future project process that would warrant a long work day like yesterday.

Thank you for your understanding.

To our neighbors surrounding the project at 4400 SW Alaska St,

We wanted to give you notice that we will be starting the project sometime in the week of January 5th. Throughout the project there will be periodic road and sidewalk closures so we ask that you please pay attention to any signage to reroute your travels if necessary. Please also pay attention to all site and safety signage when walking near the site. Our goal is to minimize the impact that the construction of the project has on the neighborhood and would like to apologize ahead of time for any inconvenience we may create. We will posting notifications of any major project events such as road closures here for the duration of the project.
